just your standard witch hunt

take your anger in both hands
and accuse them
what need of proof
beyond power
in this boiling
if you believe
all these cries will force God
to look, all this shrieking
will bring down
the devil

A sparrow falls

while we wonder if God sees, agree
it is not about our comfort
(in blaming we find comfort
flame about injustice
and how to fix what
philosophies
oh! Other)
sparrows
fall

For the sake of rediscovery

throw me in the junk drawer
with old friends and capless pens
beating hearts and plastic parts
half a scribbled list now bookmark
in some idyllic poetic scheme—
your dark eyes and my reflection
wondering
