At the library this morning, I picked up a new book called Explorers’ Sketchbooks, by Huw Lewis-Jones and Kari Herbert. The introduction mentioned both the New Horizons photos of Pluto and Scott in the Antarctic…

Thank you very much. I keep wanting to do a really nice mandala, like so many examples that I envy, but I don’t seem to have the patience.

Maybe that would be a winter project but in the meantime I quite enjoy the feel of an in the moment creation…a feeling that could be lost in something more ornate.
