Love the little scene you created. Great use of the title.

Thank you. I did struggle with how much to add/take away/rearrange!

Hmmm . . . are you a fan of The Hitchhiker’s Guide? Perhaps reciting some Vogon poetry? 😉

This is a really beautiful couplet. I love it, even though I’m not quite sure what’s going on in the scene. Not sure if the actor of the first verb (the person who “Resolved..”) is the “she” that you mention, or a speaker observing her.
Excellent choice of detail in the nightgown. Very vivid, and the alliteration really enhances it. Also loved the title.

Ahh…I see what you mean. Maybe a simple “I” at the beginning…
Thank you for the kindness and the critique. 🙂 Tricky things, couplets!

Great job with the couplet! I love how you used the title to fill in part of the setting.

Thank you–I tried many combinations with the title–harder even than a microstory!

Oh, there’s a fascinating story behind this, I can tell. This was a brilliant couplet!

If you’d written this a week ago I could have just linked to it for an example of “how to write a couplet” and saved myself some trouble 🙂
