I like the way the words flow together in this without a pause. It sort of floats.

I think this may be one of my favorite poems I’ve read of yours and I have always been a fan. The words, the meaning, the structure of parentheses and italics just bring this to life. All of it.

This is gorgeous – as usual. 🙂 But really, it’s a lovely and timely reminder. The repetition of “gift” at the end of each line adds a light but significant emphasis, and those last three lines are just wonderful.
