Oh, welcome to the practice! Yoga reopened writing poetry for me after a couple decades of me saying “I don’t have time, I am not good at it and I don’t have anything to say.” I hope you find it opens new horizons for you, too, in addition to making your body feel more human.

I can relate to this from my yoga class days…’spirals and ticks off to dos’–yep–the poem looks like a cleave poem with a step alignment (which works well with this poem )
