What I Know

Life is work

to get right

like those trig problems

that graph into flowers

exacting, tedious, just doable and

beautiful when it comes together

(always with a side

of headache and doubt

full of eraser

dust, pencil smears)

The NaPoWriMo prompt for Day 20 was to write a poem that states the things you know.

  1. I have absolutely loved reading these “What I Know” poems and each one makes me wipe a tear, and smile big. Like you’ve all found the secrets…the well of answers.

pencil smears…such a fantastic image of our mistakes and corrections.
